The Turret Console is an expanded telephone position comprised of two
FlexSet 280/281 keysets, each having three expansion modules attached. This feature
expands keyset capabilities with additional programmable buttons.
The Turret Console extends capabilities of the Coral FlexSet with additional buttons.
With the combination of two keysets and six expansion modules, the capacity is almost
doubled, increasing the total number of buttons to 288 or 284.

The turret console offers easy-to-use operation allowing touch-button access to
multiple destinations.
The expansion modules are attached to their host keysets in the regular manner using
the plastic connecting pieces for physical connection and and D-BUS slots for electrical
connection (see
Installation on page 7-7
). The second keyset, however, is connected to
the D-BUS port of the sixth FlexSet 40B expansion module via an extended D-BUS
cable (up to 50cm), as shown in
Figure 7-4
, and detailed in
Figure 7-8
.
The two keysets are interconnected at software level, but are not electrically attached
to one another. The second keyset may be connected to the sixth DPEM using a plastic
connecting piece, or may be stored under the desk or out of sight, as enabled by the
50cm (max.) cable.
Both keysets should be connected to external power supplies (TPS).

Two fully configured keysets form a turret console with two handsets and two
audio circuits independent one of another. Each phone is connected to its own
port.
