Function
The cutterbar cuts and throws the crop into the conditioning rotor. Which in turn throws the crop
backwards into the swath deflector plates. These plates form the crop into a swath approx. 1.3 m
wide (adjustable).
The conditioning effect can be regulated in two ways. The distance between the conditioning plate/
rotor is adjustable and the rotor can be operated at two different speeds.
The machine has an excellent ability to follow the ground contours. The machine frame with
cutterhead/conditioner is suspended by two heavy springs so that it floats easily. The cutterbar is
separately suspended within the cutterhead frame and is free to float independently.
The stubble height can be adjusted, without steps, by adjustment of the cutterbar's cutting angle.
The drawbar cylinder can be used during operation to manoeuvre the machine around obstacles.
Sharp turns may be made without overloading the power transfer shaft if the machine is fitted with
swivel hitch.
