sETTinG THE BLaDE GUarD
To adjust the height of the blade guard, slightly loosen the knob (2) Fig.4 that holds
the blade guard arm.
After raising the blade guard by loosening the knob (1) Fig.4 on the guard, you can
slide the guard to the required working depth. The guard must always cover the
unused part of the cutters while you work. Tighten the knob (1) after moving the
guard.

A. Position of the extraction outlet while thicknessing:
1. Place the planer table adjustment handle (6) Fig.4 and turn it anticlockwise to set
the planing table to its lowest position. Lift the arm (3) of the blade guard.
2. Unscrew the nut and remove the screw washer (A) Fig.7.
3. Place the chip extraction outlet under the thicknessing table so that the pins on the
outlet (B) Fig.7 fit in the holes (C) Fig.8 and the hole in the screw (A) is aligned with
the hole in the planing table.
4. Then put back the screw, washer and nut as illustrated in Fig.8.
5. Turn the height adjustment crank (6) Fig.4 clockwise to raise the planing table until
the extraction outlet is firmly fixed.
6. The chip extraction nozzle must be positioned as shown in Fig.9.
iMPOrTanT!
IF THE CHIP EXTRACTION OUTLET IS NOT POSITIONED CORRECTLY, THE
MACHINE WILL NOT START.
This is because the planer thicknesser has a safety latch (A) Fig. 10, which must be
engaged by contact with the part (18) Fig. 3 of the chip extraction outlet (17).
while putting in place the chip extraction outlet, raise the planing table until the outlet
clicks into place; this will allow the machine to then be started up
B. Machine settings for thicknessing:
1. Turn the cutting height adjustment button (11) Fig.4 to adjust the height of the thic-
knessing table in order to obtain the required cutting depth with the help of the gauge
(A) Fig.11 (infeed table depth indicator (10) Fig.4 in relation to the outfeed table (5).
2. To set the fence angle, refer to the section «Fence setting» below.

The unused part of the cutters must always be covered by the blade guard.
3. Raise the blade guard (9) Fig.4.
4. Always maintain a working position where you are on the side of the machine,
never opposite or behind the cutter block. Place both hands on the workpiece and
never let your fingers go beyond its edges. Use push blocks whenever possible (5)

C. Operation:
1. Connect the machine to the power source, then lift the yellow cover of the switch
(7) Fig.4 and press the green «I» button to start the machine.
2. Place the wooden workpiece on the adjustable infeed table (10) Fig.4. Use both
hands to hold the push blocks and push the piece forward onto the cutters. Feed the
wooden workpiece from the infeed table to the outfeed table.
3. To stop the machine as soon as your work is completed, press the red «O» button
and close the yellow cover of the switch (7) Fig.4. disconnect the machine from the
power outlet.
4. After the machine has come to a complete stop, remove the chips and sawdust
from the cutters and the infeed and outfeed tables.
5. Push the blade guard (9) Fig.4 so that it covers the cutters
