Changing the mode
You have to change the operation mode of the T-Sinus 154 XR if you do not wish to use it as a repeater.

To do this, log in to the configuration program again as described above.
■
In the start window, click on the
Betriebsmodus
menu entry.
The T-Sinus 154 XR re-boots. You can now log in again and carry out the rest of the configuration.
Access Point mode
■
Log in to the configuration program.
■
Select an SSID for your network. To do this, open
Netzwerkeinstellungen
–
Wireless
.
■
Select and configure the required security standard in the
Sicherheit
menu (MAC access list, WEP
encryption, WPA security standard with or without 802.1x authentication server).
■
Connect all the computers which you wish to include in your wireless network to the T-Sinus 154 XR by
setting the correct SSID and the appropriate WEP encryption for your network adapters on it. Information
about this will be found in the operating instructions for the network adapter.

When you have configured your wireless network, you can connect the T-Sinus 154 XR to a router using
the RJ-45 port and connect the wireless network to an Ethernet.
Ethernet Adapter (Infastruktur) mode
■
First, assign a fixed IP address to the Ethernet card of the computer or games console to which the T-Sinus
154 XR is connected. The instructions on the CD-ROM supplied will tell you how to do this.

Next, log in to the configuration program.
■
Set the SSID for the network (the access point) to which you wish to connect the computer or games
console. To do this, select
Netzwerkeinstellungen
–
Wireless
.

If wireless traffic encryption is set on the access point, you must now activate the encryption as well.
To do this, in the
Sicherheit
menu select
WEP
.
■
When you have completed the configuration, change the network configuration for the Ethernet card
again. Now select
IP-Adresse automatisch beziehen
again. The T-Sinus 154 XR now obtains the IP
address for the Ethernet card from the DHCP server of the access point.
Ethernet Adapter (AdHoc) mode
■
Assign a fixed IP address to the Ethernet card of the computer or games console to which the
T-Sinus 154 XR is connected. The instructions on the CD-ROM supplied will tell you how to do this.

Next, log in to the configuration program.
■
Select the SSID used by all the network users. To do this, in the
Netzwerkeinstellungen
menu select
Wireless
.
■
Select the desired
mode and click
OK
.
