DVD / CD drawer
The drawer of the
DVD 820 M
consists of a combination
of a special plastic with good damping qualities, and
solid, precision-machined treated aluminium. Its floating,
flexible suspension system eliminates the transfer of
mechanical vibration to the disc, which can have an
adverse effect on the sound.
Press briefly:
•
when a DVD is playing: stops playback.
•
in stop mode: opens and closes the disc drawer.
Long press:
•
opens and closes the drawer.

These buttons are used to select the previous / next title,
section or music track during playback, or select an MP3
track within an album directory. *)

Fast rewind / forward, for searching for a particular
passage, or to select an album directory on an MP3-CD.
Press the
-button to stop rewind or fast forward,
and resume normal playback. *)

Note:
In the Select menu the buttons are used to move
around the menu, as shown below:

A short press on this button starts playback, or resumes
playback after a
PAUSE
.
A long press switches to cursor control (see
'Manual
cursor control'
).
It is also used as the select / confirm button in the menu
system, and for selecting MP3 tracks.
A short press
opens the Disc menu (see
'Menu
functions'
).
A long press
opens the SETUP menu.
Pressing this button repeatedly switches to each of the
DVD 820 M
’s five digital filters in turn.
