The present technical conditions determine sizes, properties, scope of application and final manufac-

ture of regulating dampers manufactured by IMOS-Systemair spol. s.r.o. The specifications apply to

design, ordering, production, delivery, acceptance and use of these products as of January 1, 2005.

I. GENERAL

The

IMOS-RK

and

IMOS-RKT

regulating dampers are designed for the smooth control of the volume of airflow. The

IMOS-

RKT

tight damper is also designed for closing the airflow tightly but is not manufactured as gastight. Dampers are used in

ducts, air conditioning units as well as in mixing chambers of air conditioning devices. The

IMOS-RK

and

IMOS-RKT

dampers are designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to 100°C and at pressure differential of up to 4,000
Pa and 80% humidity. The maximum airflow velocity is 20ms

-1

. The design of the

IMOS-RK

and

IMOS-RKT

enables their

installation to the opening in the wall or to the duct. It is possible to connect the damper to the flanges of width 20mm
(P20) and width 30 mm (P30).

The

IMOS - RK

and

IMOS - RKT

regulating dampers con-

sist of rectangular frame manufactured from horizontal 1
and vertical 2 channel frames between which the channel
blades 4 are situated. The channel blades 4 in the

IMOS-

RK

and

IMOS - RKT

dampers where the width is less than

1000mm form one field. In dampers where the width is
more than 1000 mm a vertical channel 3 is inserted in the
middle. It divides the damper blades 4 into two fields. The
blades 4 are set in opposed directions through a cogwheel
transmission. The channel blades 4 in the

IMOS - RK

damper are without sealing. The blades 4 in the

IMOS -

RKT

damper are interlockingly sealed by means of rubber

sealing. In the ends the blades are fitted with sealing
sheets 7 with self-adhesive seals. The blades 4 are
inserted into the channels 5 and 6. The adjusting and
arresting mechanism 8 provides adjustment and fixing of
channel blades 4 in selected position on the damper,
which is operated manually.
