SNMP Interface
The SNMP interface exposes the industry standard
RFC-1628
UPS Management Information Base (MIB).
This guide is not meant to provide a description of the SNMP protocol or recommendations for software
to be installed on any monitoring computer.
By default, the SNMP Agent in the MPS network interface is disabled, and it must be enabled via the
web interface SNMP page (see Section 3.5). Enter a community for read and write operations, and enter
these same community names on the monitoring device along with the device IP address.
The MPS SNMP Agent will recognize SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 formatted messages. Transmitted traps use
the SNMPv2 format, per the RFC-1628 specification. (SNMPv3 messages use the same format as
SNMPv2 messages, with the addition of authentication and encryption.)
