The PTC-960XRF uses radios (transceivers) and
radio communication in its operation. The PTC-
960XRF is part of a “Private Land Mobile Radio
Service” as defined by the FCC in 47 C.F.R. Part
90 (1985), Operation of the PTC-960XRF re-
quires licensing by the FCC and full compliance
with applicable FCC regulations contained in 47
C.F.R. Sections 90.1-657 (1985). IT IS A VIOLA-
TION OF FCC REGULATIONS TO OPERATE
THE PTC-960XRF BEFORE RECEIVING AN
FCC LICENSE UNDER 47 C.F.R. PART 90 AND
BEFORE FULLY COMPLYING WITH ALL
OTHER APPLICABLE FCC REGULATIONS.
The FCC ID is BC5PTC960RF.
Each Telxon customer who plans to install and
operate the PTC-960XRF must apply for and
receive an FCC license before placing the
PTC-960XRF in operation. A license is requested
from the FCC using Form 574, “Application for
Radio Station Authorization in the Private Radio
Services.” The customer should allow up to sixty
days to receive the license. If Form 574 is not
properly filled out, the FCC will return it. This
will cause additional delay in receiving the
needed license.
