Switching Cables
Different cables are required for different hosts. To change the
scanner cable:
1. Unplug the installed cable’s modular connector by depress-
ing the connector clip with a screwdriver or paper clip
(through the access hole).
2. Carefully slide out the cable.
3. Follow the steps for
to connect
a new cable.
Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS)
(Optional)
Because there are several Checkpoint EAS systems available,
your local Checkpoint representative must install the EAS cable.

If you are using an EAS cable, refer to the Universal Cable EAS
Installation Sheet (Symbol p/n 70-32824-XX).
