Restore Settings panel
The Restore Settings panel lets you choose whether to restore a Symantec Gateway Security
configuration or a Symantec Clientless VPN Gateway configuration.
When you restore a Symantec Gateway Security backup file, you must provide the password with
which it was created. You can also choose to restore the administrator accounts that existed when the
backup was made.
When you restore a Symantec Clientless VPN Gateway configuration, you can also restore an LDAP
data file that contains users and user groups.

This panel only displays if you select to restore a cluster configuration. This panel lets you select what
cluster options you want to restore from a list.

Restore from a Symantec Gateway
Security backup image
When selected, the restore operation is performed using a Symantec
Gateway Security backup file.
This option is selected by default.
Backup file
Backup file that is being restored.
Password
Password used to create the backup file.
Restore administrator accounts
Indicates whether administrator accounts in the backup file are restored.
This option is unchecked by default.
Restore from a Symantec Clientless
VPN Gateway backup image
When selected, the restore operation is performed using a Symantec
Clientless VPN Gateway backup file.
Backup file
Backup file that is being restored.
LDAP data file (Optional)
An LDAP file that contains user and user group names that will be restored
to the security gateway for use with Clientless VPN.
Status
Shows the progress of the restore operation.
