Removing news items from a portal page
News items can be removed manually from portal pages when they are no longer necessary or timely,
even if they have not reached the expiration date or were not assigned one.
Prerequisites
Complete the following tasks before beginning this procedure:

To remove a news item from a portal page

In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Assets, click
Portal Pages
.

In the right pane, on the Portal Page Appearance tab, select the news item you want to remove, and
then click
Delete
.
The news item is marked for deletion from the system. The actual deletion will happen the next
time the security gateway configuration is activated.

Assign the portal page to a role
Assigning a portal page to a role influences the QuickLink boxes that display on the clientless VPN
portal page. If an access profile does not allow access to a resource, it does not display on the portal
page.

In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Policy, click
Clientless VPN
.

In the right pane, on the Roles tab, select the role to which you want to assign the portal page, and
then click
Properties
.

In the Clientless VPN Role Properties dialog box, on the Portal Pages tab, click
Add
.
