Creating a user portal page
To create a new remote user portal page, you need to add the portal page and configure the links that
display on the page. Once the page exists, it can be assigned to a role, influencing the QuickLinks that
appear on a role’s portal page. You can organize the lists of links that appear on the portal pages in
categories, create the categories under which the links are listed, and create the resource links.
The portal pages are validated by the security gateway rules. If a rule does not allow access to a
resource, it will not appear on the portal page.
In the example portal page in
, the administrator has substituted the Acme Network
Security name and logo, configured eight Reference QuickLinks in four categories, and added a single
news item.
