Installing the 24-Port Adapter

The chassis must be secured within the rack frame using screws suitable for the
equipment frame. They must be a minimum size of M5 (10/32) depending on
the frame. The recommended tightening torque for the M5 screws is 4.0 Nm
(3.0lbf-ft).

Verify that a punch-down block suitable for 24 or more phones is installed.
If necessary, install a punch-down block on the wall according to the
instructions that came with the punch-down block.

Wire one or more 50-pin telephony cables with a 50-pin Amphenol male
connector on one end, to the back of a punch-down block (Figure 3-3).
Alternatively, you can purchase punch-down blocks that already have the cable
pre-wired.

Caution:
For installations located in earthquake risk zones 3 and 4, a
minimum of two hard mounting locations must be used.
Note:
Each cable can support up to 24 analog ports or eight digital ports.
Therefore, digital adapters require up to three cables.
