Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in the chapter “Safety notes”!
• If you want to install more than one recessed light (e.g. to illuminate a foyer, a stair-
case etc.), plan the installation locations very carefully.
• The recessed light has to be installed in a suitable opening in a cavity wall, using the
retaining clamps on its sides. For the measurements required, please consult the
section: “Technical Data” at the end of these operating instructions.
• Depending on where you locate the power supply (power supply unit), lay a cable
between the recessed light and the power supply unit. For this purpose, we recom-
mend you use an appropriate colour-coded cable: red = plus/+, black = minus/-
You will need a power supply unit that provides an output voltage of 24 V/DC and a
current of at least 50 mA.
• Remove the cover on the back of the junction box, by unscrewing the retaining screw
on the cover. Also loosen the screw for the cord grip.
• Connect the two terminals for the recessed light with the connection cable of the
power supply unit you are using.
Make absolutely sure that you observe the correct polarity when you do this:
the red cable in the junction box is the positive terminal (+); the black cable is
the negative terminal (-).
Incorrectly wiring the recessed LED light will destroy it and lead to loss of
warranty!
• Fasten the connection cable in the cord grip.
• Replace the junction box cover and secure it with the screw that you removed earlier.
• Press together the two retaining clips at the back and push the recessed LED light
into the mounting hole.
The retaining clips spring out and hold the recessed LED light in place.
• Switch on the power to the power supply unit you are using and check whether the
recessed LED light is working.
If the recessed LED light does not light up, turn off the power immediately.
Check whether the polarity of the recessed LED light's cable is correct:
(red cable = plus/+; black cable = minus/-).
