9 Installation location
Important:
The gas alarm must not be installed:
■
Where conditions exceed the operating range. See section “Technical data” for further informa-
tion.
■
Directly above cooking appliances (min. 1 meter clearance).
■
Adjacent to an extractor fan.
■
Directly above sources of water, steam, or heat.
■
Outdoors, near a door, or window.
■
In enclosed places such as behind a curtain or in cupboards.
■
Where excessive dirt or debris may block the gas detection holes.
Natural gas is less dense than air and will rise above the level of escape (e.g., doors, windows) and get
trapped below the ceiling.
The product must be installed above potential gas escapes:
■
Horizontal ceilings: approx.30 cm from ceiling.
■
Sloped ceilings: approx. 50 cm from the roof ridge.

Important:
■
If necessary, drill holes and insert wall plugs.
WARNING! Risk of electric shock or injury! Be-
fore drilling, check for concealed wires or pipes beneath the surface.
■
Risk of electric shock! Always disconnect the product from the power supply when installing or re-
moving.
■
The product must be connected to a stable power supply.

1. Use the holes on the mounting bracket as a template to mark where to drill.
2. Attach the bracket using the supplied dowels and screws.
3. Hang the product over the mounting bracket. Make sure the product is secure before letting go.

The power supply has not been connected.
1. Connect the product to the power supply.
2. A confirmation tone will sound and the green power LED [Green: Power] will flash for approx. 3
minutes (start-up time).

When the green power LED

is constant on, the product is ready for use.
12 Operation
Important:
■
Avoid spraying air fresheners, hair spray, or other aerosols near the product! This may trigger the
alarm.
■
Clean the product regularly to prevent dust build-up. Pay close attention to the gas detection
holes. See section “Cleaning and maintenance”.
■
When the end of service light indicator [
Yellow: Service life
] lights up, disconnect the power sup-
ply, remove the product from use, and replace it with a new one.
■
The green power LED [
Green: Power
] must always be ON. This indicates that the power is ON
and everything is functioning correctly.
12.1 Alarm test
It is recommended to test the alarm at least once a month.
Short press the function button, the product will enter a short testing state.
■
A sound and light alarm will signal if the product is working correctly.
■
Remove the product from use and contact customer service if the alarms fail to activate.
12.2 Alarm activated
When the methane (CH
4
) gas levels reach the set alarming point, the detector will enter alarming mode.
When this happens:
■
The red alarm indicator [
Red: Alarm
] will flash.
■
The speaker will sound an alarm.
12.3 Action needed
Important:
The following actions are only suggestions and not in order of operation. The situation at hand may re-
quire different protocols. If in any doubt, consult a qualified professional to develop a suitable action
plan.
If the alarm has been triggered or the smell of gas is present, remain calm and perform the following ac-
tions:
■
Call the fire department from outside the premises.
■
Extinguish open or smouldering flames e.g. candles, cigarettes.
■
Turn off all gas appliances e.g. gas heater, gas cooker.
■
Do not switch ON/OFF any electrical equipment, including the gas detector.
■
Turn off the gas supply at the gas main control.
■
Open doors and windows to increase ventilation.
■
Warn all persons and evacuate the premises immediately.
■
Do not use a telephone when explosive gas is present.
■
Do not re-enter the premises until no more gas is present.
13 Application "Smart Life - Smart Living"
Important:
– The product is compatible with 2.4 GHz networks.
– Enter the exact network name (case sensitive).
– Connect the mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network the product will connect to.
– If you are giving the product to a third party you did not “Share Device” with, you may need to “Re-
move Device” through the application before they can link it to their account.

1. Open the application and log in.
2. Navigate to: All Devices → Add Device.
3. Select “Add Device” and follow the on-screen instructions.

13.5 Open product for pairing
To open the device for pairing:
1. Restart the product by disconnecting then reconnecting the power supply.
2. During the start-up phase when the [
Green: Power]
indicator is flashing, press and hold the Function
button until the [
Yellow: Service life]
indicator flashes yellow.

When successfully paired to Wi-Fi, the
[Yellow: Service life]
indicator will go OFF.

Check the connection status using the app.
14 End of service life
Important:
When the end of service light indicator [
Yellow: Service life
] lights up, disconnect the power supply,
remove the product from use, and replace it with a new one.

The service life of this product is approximately 5 years under normal conditions. Make a note of the
installation date.

Regular cleaning and maintenance will help prolong use. See section “Cleaning and maintenance” for
further details.
