Fault warning
The Fault indicator will flash
twice with beeps. Fault
warnings will be given at
least once every minute
when a fault is detected.
This indicates there is a fault in the
sensor or circuit. Fault warnings will
be given at least once every minute
until the fault is resolved.
End-of-life warning
The Fault indicator will flash
3 times with beeps. The
end-of-life warning will be
given at least once every
minute.
This indicates that the unit has
reached the end of its lifespan.
Alarm warning
The Alarm indicator flashes
5 times with beeps. Alarm
warnings are repeated 3
times every 10 seconds.
This indicates that dangerous
concentrations of CO were
detected.
Alarm silence
When the alarm is going off,
press and hold the TEST
button to silence the alarm.
When the alarm is silenced,
the buzzer does not beep.
The Alarm indicator will
flash for around 10 minutes.
If there are no beeps, this indicates
that the CO concentration is less
than 250 PPM.
Low CO
concentration
warning
The Alarm indicator will
flash 4 times with beeps at
a slower speed. The low CO
concentration warning will
be given at least once every
5 minutes at intervals of at
least 3 minutes.
This indicates that a low
concentration of CO was detected.
Testing
Press the TEST button;
the Power, Fault and
Alarm indicator will flash
once at the same time.
If the detector is working
properly, one alarm cycle
will be made. If there is a
malfunction, a fault warning
will be issued.
For manual testing.
2. LCD information
Battery level
Carbon monoxide concentration
The LCD display can show the CO concentration, battery level, fault warning, end-of-life
warning, power up prompt and testing status.
3. Power-up prompt
4. Battery level
Full
Medium
Low
Empty
5. CO concentration
• The LCD display shows the CO concentration in PPM.
• When the CO concentration is less than 10 PPM, it shows 0 PPM.
• When the CO concentration is more than 550 PPM, it shows ‘Hco’.
A CO concentration of more than 550 PPM is very dangerous.
6. Testing
This indicates that testing is in progress.
7. Fault warning
This indicates a fault warning.
8. End-of-life warning
This indicates that the unit is at the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced.
9. Power-up prompt
• When batteries are installed and the detector is powered on, the power-up prompt will be
issued. This indicates that the power supply is connected, and that the indicator lights and
buzzer are working normally.
• The LCD display shows ‘EN’.
10. Battery level
•
When the alarm is working normally, the Power indicator will flash every 45 seconds. If low
concentrations of CO are detected but the alarm has not been triggered, the interval will be
less than 45 seconds.
• The LCD display shows the battery level at all times.
11. Low battery warning
When the battery voltage is less than 3.6 V, the low battery warning will be issued at least once
every minute.
12. Fault warning
• If there is a fault in the sensor or circuit, the fault warning will be given within 3 minutes. The
fault warning will be issued at least once every minute until the fault has been eliminated.
• The LCD display shows “Err” when the fault warning is issued.
13. End-of-life warning
• When the detector has been in operation for about 10 years, the end-of-life warning will be
issued, and the product cannot be used any more.
• The LCD display will show “End” when the end-of-life warning has been issued.
14. Alarm warning
The alarm response time of this detector complies with EN 50291. When the alarm is going off,
at least three alarm cycles will sound, and the interval between each cycle will be less than 10
seconds. The alarm will automatically terminate 6 minutes after the CO has dispersed.
15. Alarm silence
When the alarm is going off and the CO concentration is less than 200 PPM, press and hold
the TEST button to silence the alarm. The buzzer will stop beeping, but the Alarm indicator will
continue to flash. The alarm will be silenced for approximately 10 minutes. Press the TEST
button when the alarm is silenced to reset the alarm.
16. Low CO concentration warning
When the CO concentration is greater than 30PPM for more than 60 minutes, or when the
CO concentration is greater than 40PPM for more than 40 minutes, the low CO concentration
warning will be issued every 3 to 5 minutes.
17. Testing
When the detector is working normally (no alarm), press the TEST button to conduct a test.
When the alarm is going off, pressing the TEST button will silence the alarm.
18. Powering on
• Use 3 replaceable AA LR6 alkaline batteries. The battery life is normally at least 3 years.
The unit will power on automatically when 3 AA LR6 batteries are inserted.
• Press the red battery pin to open the battery compartment, and then install the batteries
according to the marked polarity on the battery compartment.
• The detector will start working within 20 to 30 seconds.
WARNING: The detector must be powered on in clean air without carbon monoxide, otherwise
the alarm may go off immediately.
b) Operation
1. Normal operation
The detector will start working within 20 to 30 seconds after powering on. The Power
indicator will flash every 45 seconds. When there is CO in the air, the Power indicator will
flash every 30 seconds, and the Fault indicator and Alarm indicator will stay switched off.
