7. Press the “UP” button repeatedly until the desired weekday setting (weekday or weekday combination)
is displayed. The weekday settings are displayed in the following order:

Press the “PROG” button to confirm your selection and to set the off time for the first program. The
display will show “OFF” (off). Set the turn-off time according to the instructions provided in steps 2 to 8.

Press the “PROG” button to program additional turn-on and turn-off times, or press the “OK” button to
select the clock time mode. If you want to program additional turn-on and turn-off times, proceed as
described in steps 2 to 9.
10. In clock time mode, press the “SET” button to select “AUTO”, “OFF” or “ON” mode. The modes are
displayed in the following order.
AUTO (Power switched on. Timer activated)
� OFF (Power switched off. Timer deactivated)
� ON (Power switched on. Timer deactivated)
11. In order to delete a program, press the “PROG” button repeatedly until the desired program is displayed.
You have to delete each turn-on and turn-off time separately. Press the “CLEAR” button to delete the
selected program. The program will be deleted immediately without any confirmation prompt.
c) Random function
If the random function is activated it has priority over programmed turn-on and turn-off times. It is not
necessary to program a period during which the random function will activate. The random function will
activate several times randomly between 18:00 and 6:00 o’clock for a maximum ON/OFF cycle of one hour.
Press the “SET” button to select “AUTO” mode. Simultaneously press the “SET” and “UP” buttons to activate
or deactivate the random function. The display will show “RANDOM” indicating the random function being
activated.
d) Countdown function
This function is intended for a device to turn on or off after a certain time has elapsed. The countdown
function is only available in “ON” and “OFF” modes. In “ON” mode, the power will switch off after the set time
has elapsed. In “OFF” mode, the power will switch on after the set time has elapsed. Set the time to elapse
until switching on or off the power as follows:
1.
Connect a device and switch it on.
2.
Simultaneously press the “PROG” and “UP” buttons to program the countdown function. The display will
show “COUNTDOWN”. Set the time between 1 minute up to 99 hours and 59 minutes.
3. Press the “SET” button. The ► symbol in front of “HOURS” starts flashing.
4.
Press the “UP” button repeatedly until the desired hours are displayed. Press and hold the “UP” button
to quickly scan through the hours. Use this procedure to set the “MINUTES” next.
5.
Press the “SET” button. The ► symbol in front of “MINUTES” starts flashing.
6.
Press the “UP” button repeatedly until the desired minutes are displayed.
7. Press the “OK” button to start the countdown. “COUNTDOWN” starts flashing and the set time starts
counting backwards in the display.
8.
After the set countdown has elapsed, the device will turn on or off depending on the respective operating
mode.
9.
Simultaneously press the “PROG” and “UP” buttons to deactivate the countdown function.
e) Resetting the device
In case of malfunctions, if the display does not work properly or if pressing a button does not cause any
response of the device, press the “RESET” button. In order to do so, use an object with a round tip or the
end of a paper clip. All stored data will be reset. You will have to set the clock time and any programmed
times again.
If the rechargeable battery is not completely discharged and still contains a small amount of
power, the display will not turn on. Connect the timer to a wall socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) and
press the “RESET” button to reset the device and to activate the display.
If the built-in battery is completely discharged, connect the timer to a wall socket. The display will
turn on immediately.
Care and cleaning
•
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or cause the product to malfunction.
•
Unplug the timer from the wall socket before cleaning.
•
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids.
•
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the product. Never open/dismantle the product.
•
To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not apply too much pressure to the housing
to prevent scratching.
•
You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in household.
Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law to return all used batteries. Placing batteries in
household waste is prohibited.
Batteries contain harmful chemicals and are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal
in household waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in batteries are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g. below the trash icon on the
left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
