Answering Machine
All the functions provided on your Telephone Answering Machine (TAM) can be operated via the handset
and also directly on the base station. The answering machine is equipped with a vocal operator guidance.
Observe the instructions and information provided.
Answering machine, TAM Settings menu
Proceed as follows to open the answering machine’s Answer Settings menu:
Open the main menu

Switching the answering machine on/off
Using the base station:
Switch the answering machine on/off
After switching the answering machine on, the outgoing message currently set is played.
Using the handset TAM Settings menu :

Setting the number of rings (answer delay)
You can select from 2 to 9 ringing tones before the incoming call is taken or the
Tollsaver
setting for pre−
remote access free of charge. The toll−saving pre−remote access feature can be used to check whether new
messages have been received on your answering machine from a distant telephone.
If your call is taken after 2 rings, there are new messages on the answering machine.
If no messages have been recorded, the call is taken after 6 rings. Place the receiver on−hook before
the 6th ring. This means that no charges ensue.
