Muting the microphone in the handset
The microphone in the handset can be deactivated during a telephone
conversation.

Key lock
Lock the keys to ensure numbers or functions are not activated
inadvertently. Calls can still be taken in the normal way even when the
key lock function is activated.

Only the base station rings in the event of an incoming call, not
the handset.

Information on the range
The handset has a range of approx. 50 meters in closed rooms and
approx. 300 meters outdoors. In the case of a good connection to the
base station, the
icon appears continuously in the display.
If the handset is moved too far from the base station the
icon flashes and acoustic warning signals are issued. Move
towards the base station, otherwise the call will be
disconnected. If the handset has lost connection to the base
station the
message appears in the display during
this period.

Temporary tone dialling
If you only operate the telephone using the Pulse dialling method (refer
to Chapter 8.5), you can still make use of the advantages of the Tone
dialling method (e.g.: remote access of the answering machine). During
a call, you can temporarily switch to Tone dialling.
