number of fasteners to use, and where to attach them.

Use 2" screws when mounting 5/4"
boards to 2"x4" boards.
5/4'' x 6'' to 2'' x 4''

Apply 2 1/2" screws to the 2"x4" boards
when attaching to 4"x4" uprights.
2'' x 4'' or 5/4'' x 6'' to 4'' x 4''
