Tripping of the overheat protector indicates an operating failure, and its cause
must always be determined.
Overheating is reset after the heating resistors have cooled down by pressing the
overheat protector reset button, located at the side of the electric box.
4. The cover of ILTO can be opened by removing the five mounting nuts and pulling
the cover off. Before opening the cover remove the plug and wait for 5 minutes to
allow any hot electric resistors to cool off.
WARNING!
Operation is definitely forbidden during building and other dust generating
operations.
5. Heat recovery cell bypass is a built-in feature of the unit, preventing excessive
heating of rooms in hot summer days. Switch bypass on by lifting the damper above
the heat recovery cell away from its locking hole and by turning it down on the cell
to enable supply air to bypass the cell. Switch bypass off in the opposite order.
ILTO 400 can be equipped with a summer cell, which is mounted to take the place
of the heat recovery cell.
6. The frosting of the heat recovery cell is prevented with a thermostat, which stops
the supply fan till extract air has heated the heat recovery cell to more than frost
temperature. The operation of the condensation water outlet must be checked
annually at the beginning of the heating season by pouring water close to the
bottom outlet.
If there is no water in the water trap located in the condensation water discharge
pipe, air flow in the condensation pipe may cause a disturbing sound.
7. ILTO fans must be cleaned when the blades have a 0.5 mm layer of dust. For
cleaning, remove the fans from the unit by removing the plug and the locking screws
at the front edge of the fixing plate of the fan. Check the fans every 2 years.
Troubleshooting
Supply air fan keeps stopping
- Operation is normal at temperatures of about -5
-10 °C (prevents the frosting
of the heat recovery cell).
- The setting of the anti-frost thermostat is too sensitive. You can set it colder by
turning it anti-clockwise; remember, however, to monitor the frosting of the heat
recovery cell.
- The extract air filter has been clogged and needs to be vacuumed, washed or
replaced.
- The extract air ducts have poor thermal insulation.
Heat recovery cell freezes
- The thermostat has been set too low. Set it warmer by turning clockwise.
Supply air is cool.
- The overheat protector of the post-heating resistor has tripped. Press the
reset key.
If it trips again, contact a fitter.
- Thermal insulation of the ductwork is not sufficient.
- The thermostat has been set too cold and needs to be set warmer.
WARNING!
Clogged filters may cause changes in pressure
ratios in the dwelling.
