Fitting the battery
The Sweex MP3 player uses a 1.5 volt AAA battery. Follow these instructions to fit the battery: remove the USB cover and slide the battery cover
on the back of the MP3 player downwards. Fit the battery and slide the battery cover back in its slot. Replace the USB cover.
Control buttons
The Sweex MP3 player has various control buttons which will be explained below.
• Volume control
• Play/Pause button
• EQ/MODE mode
• A-B/REC mode
• HOLD button
Connecting the MP3 player to the computer
The Sweex MP3 player includes a USB 2.0 connection. This means that the MP3 player can be directly connected if you have Windows 2000 and
Windows XP. The Sweex MP3 player will be recognised as an additional disc drive. Within Windows, MP3 or WMA files can be easily copied to or
removed from the player. In order to use it with Windows 98SE, you must first install the driver software provided. The installation of the Windows
98SE driver is explained at the end of this manual. As soon as the MP3 player is connected and recognised by the computer, the text USB will
appear in the display of the MP3 player. This indicates that the MP3 player is ready for use. The computer will show an additional drive letter.
The drive letter allocated to the Sweex MP3 player may deviate from the picture above.
