b. Tighten the drain screw.
c. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON”
position.
d. Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF”
position several seconds later.
e. Loosen the drain screw and check that
the carburetor is filled back up with
fuel.
f. Tighten the drain screw.
3. If fuel is reaching the carburetor, ignition
system should be checked next.

Fuel and fuel vapor are highly flammable
and toxic. You can be burned or poi-
soned when handling fuel.
When draining the carburetor:
• Stop the engine and keep flames,
sparks, and heat sources away.
• Drain fuel only outdoors or in a well-
ventilated area.
• Do not smoke.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Avoid breathing fuel vapor.
• Keep children and pets away.
• Dispose of drained fuel properly.
