OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Page 4

4.0  Auto Arming

To ensure maximum protection against
theft of the vehicle, the system has been
designed to automatically immobilise the
engine 35 seconds after turning the
ignition switch from the “ON” position to
the “ACC” or “OFF” position.

Once the system has auto armed the
L.E.D. will flash twice every two seconds,
with the key removed from the ignition
switch.

5.0  Disarming Auto-Arming

(IMMOBILISER)

There are several options available to
disarm the auto arm so that the engine
can be started.

Momentarily press the black
button on the transmitter until
three indicator flashers are
received.

Within 35 seconds of receiving
the three indicator flashers, turn
the ignition ON. The vehicle can
now be started.

Insert the key into the ignition
switch, this will activate the
transponder, enabling the system
to automatically detect the
transmitter on the key ring. (See
also Transmitter section 6)

NOTE:

If the immobiliser fails to

receive a coded signal from the
transmitter four seconds from
inserting the key into the ignition
switch, the indicators will flash five
times and the horn will chirp five
times. If this happens press the
black button on the transmitter.

Perform the “Manual
Override” procedure.

6.0  Manual Override

In the event that the alarm is armed
or the immobilisation is active and
the transmitter is lost or becomes
inoperative the following procedure
will enable you to manually disarm
the alarm and immobilisation:

Note:

 During the procedure the horn

will sound (only if alarm is
programmed ON )  Ignore this and
continue with the procedure.

Unlock the driver’s door using
the ignition key.

Using the ignition  key  turn the
ignition switch to the “ON” position.

Note:

When the ignition is turned on

the system will emit five chirps and
the indicators flash five times.

The L.E.D. will turn on then turn off/on every
five seconds.  This indicates that the
system has now entered  30 minute
override mode.  At the end of the 30
minutes the horn will chirp five times and
the indicators will flash five times to
indicate the system has disarmed.

Note:

Turning the ignition switch from the

“ON” to “ACC” or “OFF” position and
allowing 35 seconds to elapse will
require this procedure to be performed
again.

7.0 Key Monitor Function

The immobiliser system will
automatically activate the transponder
function whenever the key is inserted into
the ignition switch. Once the transponder
is activated the transmitter on the key ring
will transmit a coded signal to the
immobiliser, if the correct signal is
received by the immobiliser the following
will happen:

Disarm the alarm if armed.

Disarm the Auto Arming feature

enabling the engine to be started.

Note:

  The L.E.D. will automatically stop

flashing whenever key is inserted into the
ignition switch. This feature has been
incorporated to prevent annoying flashing
from the LED whilst sitting in the vehicle.
