Improper adjustments 

and Oil Leaks 

 

Check relief valves, etc. Adjust per 
manual  of  pump.  Tighten  all 
fittings.  

Overheating  of  Oil  in  the 
system 

 

Oil is passing through the 

relief valve for an 

excessive amount of time 

 

Return  control  valve  to  neutral 
when  not  in  use,  allow  to  cool 
down 

 

 

Incorrect oil, low oil, dirty 

oil.  

 

Use 

recommended 

oil, 

fill 

reservoir, clean oil, replace filter  

 

 

Excessive component 

internal leakage 

 

Repair  or  replace  components  as 
necessary. Check system pressure 

 

 

Malfunctioning oil cooler
