4-4 Drive Carrier LEDs
Each SAS drive carrier has two LEDs on the front of the carrier.
•
Blue: When illuminated, this blue LED indicates drive activity. A connection to
the SAS backplane enables this LED to blink on and off when that particular
drive is being accessed.
•
Red: The red LED indicates a drive failure. If a SAS drive fails, your system
management software should alert you.
•
Power: Indicates power is being supplied to the system's power supply units.
This LED should normally be illuminated when the system is operating.
•
HDD:
Indicates IDE channel activity. SAS/SATA drive and/or DVD-ROM drive
activity when flashing.
