HD AUDIO Ports
This motherboard features a 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio (HDA)
codec that provides 10 DAC channels. The HD Audio connections on the
I/O back panel simultaneously supports multiple-streaming 7.1 sound
playback with two channels of independent stereo output through the
front panel stereo out for front, rear, center and subwoofer speakers. Use
the Advanced software included in the CD-ROM with your motherboard
to enable this function.
DisplayPort Ports
There are two DisplayPort 1.2 ports on the I/O back panel. DisplayPort,
developed by the VESA consortium, delivers digital display and fast
refresh rate. It can connect to virtually any display device using a Dis-
playPort adapter for devices such as VGA, DVI, and HDMI.
HDMI Port
One HDMI 1.4b (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port is located
next to the DisplayPort Port2 on the I/O back panel. This connector is
used to display both high definition video and digital sound through an
HDMI-capable display, using a single HDMI cable (not included).
