Type
This option allows you to select the type of IDE hard drive. Select
Auto
to allow
the BIOS to automatically determine the hard drive's capacity, number of heads,
etc.). Select User to allow the user to enter the parameters for the HDD installed
at this connection. Enter a number between 1 to 39 to select a predetermined
HDD type. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a re-
movable disk drive is installed.
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether the Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Channel 0
Master Device via the LBA mode. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
32 Bit I/O
This option allows the user to enable or disable the function of a 32-bit data
transfer. The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
Transfer Mode
This option allows the user to set the transfer mode. The options are
Standard
,
Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2, Fast PIO3, Fast PIO4, FPIO3/DMA1 and FPIO4/DMA2.
Ultra DMA Mode
This option allows the user to select Ultra DMA Mode. The options are Disabled,
Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, Mode 4, and
Mode 5
