5-7 Adding MicroLP Cards
Each of the 12 nodes in the 5037MC-H12TRF has one MicroLP slot, which can
support a single MicroLP PCI expansion card. To install an expansion card, follow
the instructions below.
Installing a MicroLP Expansion Card
1. Power-down the node using that node's individual power button and remove it
from the system as described in Chapter 6.
2. Open the PCI slot clip and remove the PCI slot shield.
3. Open the PCI slot clip in the rear of the motherboard node.
4. Remove the PCI slot shield.
5. Insert the expansion card into the riser card which is pre-installed on the
motherboard. (If desired the riser card may be removed from the motherboard
by removing the riser card screw.)
6. Slide the expansion cards bracket into the PCI card slot and fi t it with the
opening in the rear of the node.
7. Close the PCI card slot clip to secure the expansion card.

Memory Population Guidelines
1. When installing memory modules, the DIMM slots should be populated in the
following order: DIMMA2, DIMMB2, DIMMA1 and DIMMB1
2. Always use DDR3 DIMM modules of the same size, type and speed.
3. The motherboard will support one or three DIMM modules installed. However,
for best memory performance, install DIMM modules in pairs.
