SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. KEEP AWAY FROM
WATER. DANGER: As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even when the
switch is off. To reduce the risk of electric shock:

•  Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
•  Do not use in wet locations.
•  Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.
•  Do not place or store this appliance where it can be pulled into a tray, reservoir, or sink.
•  Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet when not in use.
•  This appliance is for household use only.
•  Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or persons with

special needs.

•  Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not

recommended by the manufacturer.

•  Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
•  Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has

been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.

•  Never drop or insert any object into any of the appliance’s openings.

is being administered.

•  A GFCI is always recommended. GFCIs are generally installed where electrical circuits may accidentally

come into contact with water. They are most often found in kitchens, bath and laundry rooms, grow
rooms, out-of-doors or in the garage where electric power tools might be used.

ALCI Safety Device

:

This blower is provided with an appliance leakage circuit interrupter (ALCI) safety

device built into the plug. This device is designed to make the unit inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as accidental immersion in water. The ALCI safety device is equipped with a test button so
that its operation can be checked.

This unit should be tested before each use to confirm that the safety device is operational. To test: After
plugging in.

1.

Press the reset button on the ALCI device.

2.

Press the test button. The reset button will pop out. This verifies that the safety device is operating
properly.

3.

Press the reset button to reactivate your ALCI safety device.

4.

Your blower is now ready for use.

Note: This unit may automatically trip when unplugged. If so, the unit must be reset after it is plugged in.

5.

Should the ALCI safety device trip (i.e., reset button pops out) during use, press the reset button.
Never operate this appliance if it has been dropped in water.

6.

The blower is designed to work on ordinary household current only, 125 volts A.C., 60 Hz. It is not
intended for commercial use.

7.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will
fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

8.

Always remove the blower motor from the manifold/injector before attaching or disconnecting
the manifold/injector from the Turbo Grow. Never fill the manifold/injector with liquid or turn the
manifold/injector upside down with the blower motor attached as liquid from the Turbo Grow may
enter the blower motor.
