Multi-Sector Transfers
Select the number of transfer sectors. Options are 2, 4, 6, 8 and 16
S e c t o r s .
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Primary
Master Device via LBA mode. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
32-bit I/O
Selects 32-bit I/O operation. Options are Enabled and Disabled .
Transfer Mode
Selects the transfer mode. Options are Standard, Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2,
Fast PIO3, Fast PIO4 , FPIO3/DMA1 and FPIO4/DMA2.
Ultra DMA Mode
Selects Ultra DMA Mode. Options are Disabled , Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode
2, Mode 3, Mode 4 and Mode 5.
S.M.A.R.T. Monitoring
S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a
technology developed to manage the reliability of the hard disk by
predicting future device failures. The hard disk needs to be S.M.A.R.T.
capable. The options are Enabled , and Disabled. (*Note: S.M.A.R.T.
cannot predict all future failures. S.M.A.R.T. should be used as a warning
tool, not as a tool to predict the device reliability.)
System Memory
This display informs you how much system memory is recognized as being
present in the system.
Extended Memory
This display informs you how much extended memory is recognized as
being present in the system.
