M.2 Slot
This motherboard has one M.2 slot (JMD1), formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor
(NGFF) and serves to replace mini PCIe. M.2 allows for a variety of card sizes, increased
functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 slot on the motherboard supports PCIe 3.0 x4/
SATA SSD cards in the 2280 form factors.

SATA 3.0 Ports
There are four SATA 3.0 ports (I-SATA0 - I-SATA3) supported by the Intel W480E chipset.
SATA ports provide serial-link signal connections, which are faster than legacy Parallel ATA.
