Note:
Challenge handshake authentication protocol (CHAP) is a protocol used to verify
the identity of the peer of a connection.
Note 1:
If one way (unidirectional) CHAP authentication is performed, the iSCSI target
authenticates the iSCSI initiator.
Note 2:
If mutual (bidirectional) CHAP authentication is performed, the iSCSI target
and iSCSI initiator authenticate each other.
