2.4 Chassis Components
Installing the Storage Drives
The E403-9P-FN2T can accommodate up to four fixed 2.5" SATA storage drives that are
installed to a drive cage, and then inserted into the chassis.
Note:
Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro chassis and
servers. For information on recommended HDDs, visit the Supermicro website at
supermicro.com/products/nfo/Ultra.cfm
Installing the Drive
The motherboard should be installed before installing the drives.
1. Remove the system power as described in section 2.1 and remove the chassis cover.
2. Remove the two screws that secure the drive cage to the chassis, as shown.
