Memory
Memory Support
The 7049P-TR(T) supports up to 2TB of 3DS Load Reduced DIMM (3DS LRDIMM), Load
Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM), 3DS Registered DIMM (3DS RDIMM), Registered DIMM (RDIMM),
Non-Volatile DIMM (NV-DIMM) DDR4 (288-pin) ECC 2666/2400/2133 MHz memory modules
in 16 slots. Memory speed is dependent on the processor model.
Populating these DIMM modules with a pair of memory modules of the same type and size
will result in interleaved memory, which will improve memory performance. Using unbalanced
memory topology, such as populating two DIMMs in one channel while populating one DIMM
in another channel on the same motherboard will result in reduced memory performance.
