Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

Preparing the CPU Socket for Installation

This motherboard comes with a plastic protective cover installed on the CPU socket. Remove 
it from the socket to install the Processor Heatsink Module (PHM). Gently squeeze the grip 

tabs then pull the cover off.

Remove the plastic protective 

cover from the CPU socket.

Do not touch or bend the socket 

pins.
