Installing a Full-Height Expansion Card
1. Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1 and remove the
cover as described in Section 3.2.
2.
Confirm that you have the correct expansion card, riser card and expansion card bracket
for the chassis.
3. Remove the PCI-E slot covers at the rear of the chassis.
4. Secure the riser card onto the bracket with screws.
5. Insert the expansion card into the expansion slot on the riser card.
6.
Place the expansion card bracket into the chassis as shown in the following figure, while
inserting the riser card into its appropriate slot on the serverboard.
7. Secure the expansion card bracket to the chassis with the three screws provided.
