Description
Quiet Boot
When Disabled the BIOS displays normal POST messages. When

the BIOS displays an OEM Logo instead of POST messages.
CSM Support
This setting allows you to

or Disable CSM Support.
Option ROM Messages
Use this setting to set the display mode for Option ROM to either
Force
BIOS
or Keep Current.
Bootup NUM-Lock State
This setting selects the Power-On state for Numlock. Options include
On
or Off.
Wait for ‘F1’ If Error
When enabled, the system will wait for the F1 key to be pressed if an error
occurs. Options are
Enabled
or Disabled.
Interrupt 19 Capture
When enabled this setting allows option ROMs to trap Interrup 19. Options
include
Immediate
or Postponed.
Re-try Boot
Use this setting to specify the Re-try Boot option to use. Options include
Disabled
, Legacy Boot or EFI Boot.
Watch Dog Function
This setting allows the system to restart when it is not active more than 5
minutes. Option include Enabled and
Disabled
.
Power Button Function
This setting specifies the power button’s function when pressed. Option
include 4 Seconds Override or
Instant Off
.

Processor Configuration
Information
This section shows static information on the processor configuration.
Hyper-threading [ALL]
This setting is
Enabled
for Windows XP and Linux (OS optimized for
Hyper-threading technology), and Disabled for other OSes (any OS not
optimized for Hyper-threading techology). When Disabled, only one thread
per enabled core is enabled.
Execute Disable Bit
XD can prevent certain classes of malicious buffer overflow attacks when
combined with a supporting OS such as Windows Server 2003 SP1,
Windows XP SP2, SuSE Linux 9.2 or RedHat Enterprise 3 Update 3.
Options include
Enabled
or Disabled.
Intel® Virtualization
Technology
Select
Enabled
to use this Virtualization Technology feature to allow one
platform to run multiple operating systems and applications in independent
partitions, creating multiple “virtual” systems in one physical computer
system. The options are

PPIN Control
Use this setting to enable/disable the PPIN control. Options include
