Menu Option Description
CPU Ratio
This setting allows you to set the CPU Ratio to either Auto (Maximum Ratio) or
Manual (Manual Ratio).
Clock Spread
Spectrum This setting enables or disables spread spectrum modulation. Options are
Enabled and Disabled.
Hardware Prefetcher
If set to Enabled , the hardware prefetcher will prefetch streams of data and
instructions from the main memory to the L2 cache in the forward or backward
manner to improve CPU performance. Options are
Enabled and Disabled.
For UP platforms leave it enabled. for DP/MP servers, this setting may be used
to tune performance to the specific application.
Adjacent Cache Line
Prefetch
The CPU fetches the cache line for 64-bytes if this option is set to Disabled. The
CPU fetches both cache lines for 128-bytes as comprised if
Enabled .
For UP platforms leave it enabled. for DP/MP servers, this setting may be used
to tune performance to the specific application.
DCU Prefetcher
For UP platforms, leave this option Enabled . For DP/MP servers, this option
may be used to tune performance to the specific application. Options are
Enabled or Disabled.
Data Reuse
Optimization
For UP platforms, leave this option Enabled . For DP/MP servers, this option
may be used to tune performance to the specific application. Options are
Enabled or Disabled.
MPS and ACPI MDAT
Ordering
This setting allows you to specify MPS and ACPI MADT ordering. Options
include
Modern Ordering (for Windows XP or later OSes) or Legacy Ordering
(for Windows 2000 or earlier OSes).
Machine Check
Feature This setting enables or disables the machine check feature in the system.
Options include
Enabled or Disabled.
Intel® Virtualization
Tech
Select Enabled to use this Virtualization Technology feature to allow one
platform to run multiple operating systems and applications in independent
partitions, creating multiple “virtual” systems in one physical computer system.
The options are
Enabled and Disabled. Please refer to the Intel website for
further detailed information.
NOTE: A full reset of the system is required when you change this setting.
Execute-Disable Bit
Capability
The Execute Disable Bit allows the processor to designate areas in the system
memory where an application code can be executed, and where it cannot. This
prevents a worm or virus from flooding illegal codes into the system to
overwhelm the processor or damage the system during an attack. The default
setting is
Enabled .

Intel(R) AES-NI This setting allows you to Enable or Disable Intel AES-NI in the system.
Simultaneous
Multi-Threading When Disabled, only one thread per enabled core is enabled. Options include
Enabled or Disabled.
Active Processor
Cores This setting sets the number of cores to enable in each processor package.
Options include
All , 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Intel (R) EIST
Technology This setting allows the processor to dynamically transition speed and voltage
state in C0. Options include
Enabled or Disabled.
