Primary IDE Master/Slave, Secondary IDE Master/Slave, or Primary IDE
Master/Slave, SATA Port 1, SATA Port 2, SATA Port 3, SATA Port 4
These settings allow the user to set the parameters of Primary IDE Master/Slave
and Secondary IDE Master/Slave
slots. Hit <Enter> to activate the following sub-
menu screen for detailed options of these items. Set the correct configurations
accordingly. The items included in the sub-menu are:
Type
This feature allows the user to select the IDE hard drive type. The option: "
Auto"
allows the BIOS to automatically determine the hard drive's capacity, number
of heads, etc.). The option "User" will allow the user to enter the parameters
of the HDD installed at this connection. Choose the option 1-39 to select a
predetermined HDD type. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select
ATAPI if a removable disk drive is installed.
CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE:
This item displays the type of CPU.
Cylinders:
This item indicates the status of Cylinders.
Headers:
This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors:
This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity:
This item displays the maximum storage capacity of
the system.
