1. Lift the lever on the CPU socket:

the lever completely or you will dam-
age the CPU socket when power is
applied

(Install CPU1 first.)

2. Install the CPU in the socket. Make
sure that pin 1 of the CPU is seated on
pin 1 of the socket (both corners are
marked with a triangle). Install a CPU
into CPU socket #1 first (you may in-
stall either two or four CPUs).

3. Press the lever down until you hear
it *click* into the locked position.

You need a pair of identical 603 clips (shown on left above) for
each
Gallatin 1.9 - 2.8GHz CPU. You need a pair of identical 603E clips (shown
on right above) for
each
Foster 1.4 - 1.6GHz CPU.
