Motherboard Installation
Installing the Motherboard
1. Review the documentation that came with your motherboard. Become
familiar with component placement, requirements, precautions, and cable
connections.
2. Install standoffs in the locations required by your motherboard.
3. Lay the motherboard on the chassis, aligning the standoffs.
4. Secure the motherboard to the standoffs using the rounded, Phillips head
screws. Do not exceed eight inch-pounds of torque when tightening the
screws.
5. Secure the CPU, heatsinks, and other components to the motherboard as
described in the motherboard documentation.
6. Connect the cables between the motherboard and other components such as
the chassis, front panel, drives, fans and power supply.
7. Replace the chassis cover, plug the power cord into the rear of the power
supply and power up the system.
