Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product.
To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our cli-
ents take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation in-
structions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Installation
1. Remove all parts from the box to see if all parts are present.
2. Before installation check that the UV bulb inside is installed correctly.
◦
Remove the body by squeezing both pressure points on the side of the body and pulling
the motor and body part.
◦
Visually check if the UV bulb is still correctly inserted in its connection point. If the bulb is
lose, unscrew the screw and twist the screw nut counter-clockwise to release the quartz
glass (leave the clear O-ring located underneath the quartz glass in place).
◦
Re-insert the UV bulb.
◦
Replace the quartz glass ensuring the O-Ring at the quartz base is present.
◦
Re-attach the screw nut and screw, replace the body.
3. Attach the suction cups to the base place, attach the base plate to the back of the item.
4. Attach the venturi outlet to the top of the unit.
5. Place the item inside of your fish tank with the suction cups against the glass in your preferred
location.
Please note:
Ensure this location allows the item to be fully submerged at all the times.
6. Turn the UV on by sliding the front on/off switch to the left.
7. Position the venturi outlet above the water level to allow air to pass through the venturi outlet
valve.
8. Plug your item into your main power socket.
Maintenance
•
Decide on how regularly you would like to maintain this item; that depends on your water
volume and how many fish you are keeping. The best time to clean your filter is when com -
pleting a 10 % water change as you can use the aquarium water you are discarding to clean
all the parts of this item.

When cleaning this item, you should wash the following parts using the water from your aquar-
ium:

Replacement of the UV lamp tube

Please note the UV bulb should be replaced every 6 months ever if the light is still showing,
doing this will ensure the UV operates effectively at all times.

Check that your UV light tube is working at any time by visually checking the UV light indicator
on the front of the item. This will light up tube if the UV light tube is working. Proceed as fol -
lows:

Unplug the item at the mains and remove the plug from the socket.
◦
Remove the item from the aquarium.
◦
Remove the body by squeezing both pressure points on the side of the body and pulling
the motor and body apart.
◦
Unscrew the screw and twist the screw nut counter-clockwise to release the quartz (leave
the clear O-Ring located underneath the quartz glass in place).
