WARNING:
• Remove detachable base when restraint is forward-facing.
• Do NOT place infant in forward-facing restraint until 22 lbs
(10 kg).
• ALWAYS use SafeStop with forward-facing child below 40 lbs
(18.5 kg). (See page 26.)
• Do NOT use UAS system to install restraint for a child over 65
pounds (30 kg). (See pages 22 and 24 for forward-facing
installation with vehicle seat belt).
Fig. 1 shows a typical forward-facing installation with the UAS.
1. Confirm vehicle seating
location has its own UAS
anchorage. If it does not, you
must use vehicle seat belt
installation (see pages 22 and
24).
2. Locate the UAS belting secured
in storage compartment on
restraint back. Press red
release button to remove each
lower connector and webbing.
Slide the narrow lanyard strap out of plastic strap guides.
3. Place restraint in forward-facing position.
In forward-facing installation, always use top tether shown in
blue, Fig. 1 (see page 28 for top tether instructions).
4. Route UAS belt through
forward-facing belt path and
behind restraint cover. (Fig. 2)
