When using your garment steamer, basic safety precautions

should always be lollowed, including the following:

1. 

Read all instructions before using the garment steamer.

2. Use garment steamer only for its intended use.

3. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not

immerse the garmenl steamer in water or other liquids

4. Never yank cord to disconnect  from outlet; instead, grasp

plug and pull to disconnect.

5. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Loop cord loosely

around garment steamer when storlng.

6. Do not operate garment steamer with a damaged cord or if

the garment steamer has been dropped or damaged. To

avoid the risk  of  electric shock, do not disassemble the

garment steamer. Take it to the nearest Sunbeam

Appliance Service Company station or authorized

independent service station for examination and repair.

Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock

when the garment steamer is used.

7. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being

used by or near children. Do not leave garment steamer

unattended while connected.

6. Burns can occur from contact with hot water, or steam.

Use caution when you turn the garment steamer upside

down-there may be hot water in the reservoir.

9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by

Sunbeam Appliance Company may result in fire, electric

shock or personal injury.

REMOVING THE

WATER TANK .

Press the water tank release

button and pull the handle

and button assembly away

from the body of the steamer.

Tap water may be used, how-
ever, In areas of the country

where the water is very hard
we recommend the use of
demineralized or distilled
water lo prolong the steam-
i n g   f u n c t i o n   o f   y o u r   a p
pliance. DO NOT use water
passed through home water

softening systems because
such water contains minerals

that may be harmful to the
garment steamer’s internal
components.

shows at any time whether
there is sufficient water in the
lank. To check the reservoir

level, hold garment steamer

so that  the waler window is
vertical. Check level and 

refill

as 

necessary.

USING THE
GARMENT STEAMER

Plug the cord  into a 120 volt,

AC electrical outlet. After
about 45 seconds It  will  reach
working temperature. A  jet  of
steam can then be produced
about every 2 seconds by
pressing the steam button.
