8.3.2 Downloading IB Firmware
1. Stop all I/O to the disk array.
Refer to the software documentation that came with your disk array or system.
2. Check the IB firmware level.
See Section 8.3.1 “Checking IB Firmware” on page 8-5.
Note –
See the next section if your IB firmware revision is 1.01.
3. Use the
luxadm download -s
command.
The
-s
option saves the firmware to the Interconnect Assembly as well as the IBs.
For example:
8.3.2.1 Upgrading From IB Firmware 1.01 to Later Revisions
You cannot directly upgrade from revision 1.01 to 1.05 or later versions of the
firmware. For example, if you have an disk array running 1.01 and the current patch
firmware is 1.07, you will need to upgrade to 1.03, and then to 1.07.
1. Obtain a copy of the 1.03 firmware.

Contact your service representative if you cannot access this website.
2. Use the
luxadm download -s -f
command to install the 1.03 firmware.
The
-f
option specifies a file other than the default location for the firmware source.
