Service Guidelines
Be sure to keep the following guidelines in mind when servicing the system:
■
Except for removing and installing hard drives, the system must be serviced by
qualified service providers.
■
Only power supplies, fan trays 0, 1 and 2, the air filter, and hard drives are hot-
swappable. You must power off the system to service any other component.
■
You must disconnect the AC or DC power cables when servicing the following
components:
■
Motherboard
■
SCSI backplane
■
Connector board
■
System configuration card (SCC) reader
■
Advanced Lights Out Manager (ALOM) system controller card
■
Power distribution module
