Current Network Information
Each Model 5422A has three Ethernet interfaces:
Dante Primary, Dante Secondary, and Management.
Three columns, each consisting of four fields, provides
important network information about the interfaces. If
the Dante network configuration has be selected for
Switched
operation, then the Dante Secondary port will
be disabled and the text
Disabled
will show.
IP Address:
These are display-only fields that show
the IP addresses actively associated with the ports.
Shown in dot-decimal notation.
Subnet Mask:
These are display-only fields that show
the subnet mask values actively associated with the
ports. Shown in dot-decimal notation.
Gateway:
These are display-only fields that show the
gateway addresses actively associated with the ports.
Shown in dot-decimal notation.
MAC Address:
These are display-only fields that show
the MAC (media access control) addresses associated
with the ports. These are unique hardware identifica

tion numbers that are assigned to each specific Model
5422A port.
Switch Configuration
This is a display-only field that shows the current con
-
figuration of the Model 5422A’s three Ethernet ports.
They located on the back panel and are named Dante
primary, Dante secondary, and management. The
field will show Switched, Redundant, SMgmt,
or ReMgmt. The configuration setting can
be changed using the Dante Controller application.
Details regarding the four configuration possibilities
are covered in an earlier section of this guide.
Management Interface Configuration
The method used by the management port to obtain
its IP address can be selected. Specific values can
be entered should the manual IP address selection
method be chosen.
IP Configuration:
This is a configurable field with two
choices:
Automatic
and
Manual
. It impacts how the
Model 5422A obtains the IP address that is used for
accessing the Model 5422A’s management web server
and associated menu webpages. This setting has no
impact on how the Model 5422A obtains the primary
and secondary IP addresses that are associated with
its Dante Ethernet connections.
