CARBURETOR AIR CLEANER—Service Every 1,000 Miles Where Dust Conditions Prevail. It May be Necessary to Services the
Unit Daily; or More Often Under Severe Dust Conditions.
To Service the “Oil Bath” Type, Remove Cleaner. Wash Filter Element in Kerosene and Drain Thoroughly. Clean Oil Reservoir and
Refill to Indicated Level. Use SAE 30 Engine Oil for above +32° F. and SAE 20 Engine Oil for below +32° F. Do Not Use an Oil
Lighter than SAE 20.
To Service the “Oil Coated Filter” Type, Remove the Filter Element. Wash in Kerosene and Shake Out Until Dry. Reoil the
Element Thoroughly With Fresh Clean Oil. Allow the Excess Oil to Drain Off, and Reinstall Element.
