6.4.2
Mounting the armature plate, inner body, coil body
Assembly of the
armature plate,
inner body, coil
body
1. Slide the armature plate (3) with the internal teeth
onto the external teeth of the carrier. In doing so,
align the armature plate in circumferential direction
according to the bores for the retaining bolts (7).
2. Slide the locking springs (6) onto the retaining bolts,
insert the retaining bolts through the bores in the ar-
mature plate and screw the carrier in. Secure the re-
taining bolts with liquid screw lock.
3. Slide the inner body (2) with the coil body (1) stored
on it onto the shaft and align it axially so that the air
gap between the spur gearings of the inner body
and armature plate is adhered to. In doing so, the air
gap must be checked at a minimum of two opposite
points, see section 6.3.2.
4. Secure the inner body axially (via a circlip, shaft col-
lar, spacer bush, etc.).
5. Secure the coil body in rotation direction by attach-
ing a torsional limitation, see section 5.3.3. In doing
so, avoid tensioning the coil body.
6. Establish the electrical connections, see section 6.5.

Align the A and B-sides to each other.
Alignment of A
and B-sides to
each other
1. A and B-sides should be brought closer together to
the air gap width.
2. On the entire periphery, check the air gap (La) be-
tween the armature plate and inner body.
NOTE
The table values must be adhered to, see
section 6.3.2.

Electrical connection
The clutch runs exclusively on direct current.
The coil (5) is designed for the stated voltage (see section 4.4) and 100 % relative duty cycle. The continuous
permissible voltage fluctuation must comply with the specifications in DIN IEC 60038 (see section 2.5).
To avoid any switching delay, switching in direct current is preferable.
Particularly short turn-on times can be achieved through quick switching. Quick switching devices can be sup-
plied upon request.
To protect against impermissible break over voltages, the user needs to use voltage limiters as per DIN 43235
(see section 2.5), e.g. Stromag over-voltage protection device type VAR.
